It is a holistic theology that insist that the Gospel deals with the whole person, not only a person's soul but a person's body as well; not only a person's spiritual well-being but a person's material well-being also. Any Christian Theology which professes to be concerned about the souls of people and is not concerned about the social and economic conditions that scar the soul, is a spiritually moribund theology and cannot serve the needs of the oppressed peoples of the world.
